Why should God let you into His heaven?

"For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through Him." John 3:17

Today, we are asking all believers to check their hearts! Why are we saved? Why will we spend eternity in heaven with our Lord?

When you die, God will greet you with one basic question, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" As He searches your heart, what will your answer be?

Please pause and prayerfully consider your answer. "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified." (2 Corinthians 13:5)

If your answer to God's question is anything other than, "I am saved by the unmerited grace of your Son, Jesus Christ, and what He did for me on the cross," then you might want to reexamine your heart and motives. If you're still working to earn your way into heaven, rather than resting in the cleansing power of Christ's blood, you should recommit yourself to the liberating truth of the Gospel today!

Remember, salvation is a gift from God to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can we be saved. Eternal life begins the moment we truly receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit." (Titus 3:5)

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1)

"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus."
(Galatians 3:26)
