Jesus always had compassion on the crowd and the people He came in contact with. He did something about their needs. So, we as His followers, should also follow His example in obedience and with joy. We are faithfully taking God's compassion to the nations!

Compassion to The Nations, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization classified as a public charity with the mission to lead the nations into a growing relationship with Jesus as we put God’s compassion into action.

John 21:15-17

15 When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.” Feed My lambs,” He told him.16 A second time He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.” Shepherd My sheep,” He told him. 17 He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, “Do you love Me?” He said, “Lord, You know everything! You know that I love You.” Feed My sheep,” Jesus said.

Micah 6:8

"He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

May we all be moved to more acts of kindness and love to children at risk, the poor, and the oppressed. They matter to God. So, they must matter greatly to us.

James 2:14-16 "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?"

"God is not glorified when we keep for ourselves (no matter how thankfully) what we ought to be using to alleviate the misery of unevangelized, unmedicated, and unfed millions." John Piper

Main areas of public ministry are as follows:

  • Valiant Children and Youth Club: God has opened the door for us in Nicaragua to work in a very poor and somewhat dangerous neighborhood where the majority of the children and youth do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Most children are from families that are 'unchurched' or 'unsaved' or have no interest in attending a traditional place of worship. Many of the children and youth are from single parent families and have not had the opportunity to go to school. Without God, these children and youth have no hope or future or life.  Our strategy is to use various tools to attract children and youth from the streets and homes in the community to gather together for a hot meal, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, sports, and A TIME OF DEVOTIONAL, A TIME OF TEACHING THE WORD OF GOD, AND A TIME OF BIBLE STUDY (Saturday School).

  • Prison Ministry: We are thankful for the opportunities to serve in prison ministry in Juigalpa and Matagalpa. Both prisons are 2+ hours from the base of ministry. How do we serve? We provide transportation for various churches to take groups of 12 to 20 in the ministry's extended van. Hot food is provided to the prisoners along with the Word of God preached and singing of praises to God.

  • Compassionate Acts of Kindness: This ministry takes place anywhere that the Braswell family travels and/or lives. It is a way of blessing people in different places throughout the year. When we lived in the United Arab Emirates, it was the primary way in which we could reach-out to the people of various nations and religions living in the United Arab Emirates. We were surrounded by countless people in the UAE who do not know the Lord and struggle for their basic needs. We have found that Compassionate Acts of Kindness such as distribution of meals or fruit for school cleaners and security, construction laborers, single men without families in the country, or others who gather in public areas in the evenings is a great way to minister to them. Amen! A simple "God Bless You!" may be the only words given at times; however, these people know that we who are clearly not Muslims speak of the one and only true God. It is a blessing for us to see the surprise in their eyes and signs of thankfulness on their faces when they understand that someone desires to bless them. Indeed, we are blessed to be a blessing to others. Amen! Praise God!

"Let us not become weary in doing good,

for at the proper time we will reap a harvest

if we do not give up."

Galatians 6:9
