2002 to 2005

Mr. B. arrived in the United Arab Emirates in 2002 to join the  Technical Secondary Schools Strategic Development Project.  This three year project was  directed by the University of Georgia from Athens, Georgia USA and Manukau Institute of Technology from Auckland, New Zealand.  The project was sponsored by the Ministry of Education.  For three years Mr. B. created, adjusted, and implemented UAE appropriate Business Curriculum in the DTE Business Schools in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah.  He supervised, trained, and provided appropriate professional development  for the Business Teachers in these schools. 

The main goals of the TSSSD Project have been as follows:

q       To develop and implement new curriculum

q       To develop and improve the administration

q       To develop and improve the teachers 

The main projected outcomes of the TSSSD Project are as follows:

q       To improve the teaching methodologies

q       To improve the administration and create autonomy of the schools

q       To improve the student outcomes
